Scanuppia in MTB, the hardest climb in the world!
It’s 1350 meters climb in 7 kilometers. Does it seem possible? The “Scanuppia” is one of the three great ascents of Rovereto and Vallagarina. Indeed, it is often identified as the hardest climb in the world! The initial impact is significant; along the first 2 kilometers of concrete, the slope never drops below 24%. The most demanding stretch ends after a few bends, and the climb then continues with average gradients of around 10 to 15%, until you reach a dirt road towards Malga Palazzo mountain hut.

From Calliano to Passo Coe, a long and exhausting climb!

Sega di Ala, challenging climb near the city of Ala
This terrible climb was faced for the first time in the Giro del Trentino 2013 bicycle race; it was on this climb that Vincenzo Nibali took the stage victory and final of the Giro del Trentino in that year. Beginning in the City of Ala, these 11 kilometers are spiced with 21 breathtaking hairpin turns. The first 6 km has an average gradient of 10%, with sections of around 15%. After a tunnel at the altitude of 800 meters, the hardest part of the climb starts, three kilometers at an average 12% with sections of up to 20%. The finish is a little smoother. Have fun!
